Beware of unethical pet stores in Dubai. I wish we had found Pets Habitat two months earlier.

Hi, this is Angel, our Bolognese puppy we got from Pets Habitat about 5 weeks ago. We also got a Bichon Frise puppy the same day ( not seen in this pic ). We earlier bought two toy poodle puppies from another well known pet store in Dubai (without naming the shop, i'd just say that you can see their adverts on google and they also have a wide spread web presence). The poodle puppies were from Uzbekistan. To my shock, within 36 hours, pups started vomiting and had bloody stool. We rushed them to the vets but even after all efforts, vets had to put them down on the third day. They were detected with Parvo virus. I came to know that Parvo virus can be prevented with timely vaccines and puppies can die within 15 days from infection. So, all this shop owner had to do was to observe the pups for about 7-10 days before selling them.I feel that the owner of that pet store was in a hurry to sell his pups and they do not monitor their pups long enough after import. He is still dodging us for the last two months since.
I was very worried buying another puppy from any pet store. But upon a detailed consultation with the owners of Pets Habitat I was assured that their pups are guaranteed against such viruses and i decided to buy two pups so they can keep company to each other. We got them tested from a vet the 2nd day. Here we are, it has been 5 weeks and the pups are doing well and have just visited Pets Habitat for a grooming session today. You can see the quality of our puppy and the grooming job done by their staff. Moreover, i am convinced that these pups came from a family based ackground. The pups are extremely well socialized.
My suggestion to everyone is to buy a pup with caution and if possible, visit Pets Habitat for a consultation with Andy or Natalia. Don't be ruled by your impulse when you see a cute puppy at just any shop. Go for a home raised, well vaccinated and well monitored pup from a store that operates as professionally as Pets Habitat. In fact, i wanted to buy three puppies on impulse but Andy ( partner of PH stopped me and said that if i started feeling sorry for the pups in pet stores, i'd end up with 20 pups with not enough attention to any one of them. I really appreciate that he did not push us for 'a sale' but gave us a very practical opinion on suitable types of breeds and how many pups would be 'just too much'.
